How do I check the real mileage and battery condition of a used e-bike?
The mileage and the battery data live in the motor and the battery, not in what the seller tells you. With Trolda e-bike computer the seller can make a used-bike report from the bike, and the report marks every figure as measured by the bike or typed in by hand.
Mileage comes from the motor's own counter when the bike has one. When it does not, the report says the figure is the app's own estimate.
On Bosch Smart System, battery health and charge cycles are read from the battery's own management system. On Giant SyncDrive, Trolda calculates battery health from voltage and charge level, and the report says so.
Figures read from the bike cannot be edited by the seller. Ask the seller to share the report with you.
